Daily Gaming operates in most U.S. states, but not all of them — and that's by design, not oversight. Real-money skill-based contests are regulated at the state level in the U.S., and the rules genuinely differ from state to state. Rather than guess, or apply one blanket policy everywhere, Daily Gaming checks eligibility for every player individually.
How eligibility is determined
When you sign up, Daily Gaming verifies your location using your device's GPS — not your billing address, not your IP address alone, your actual device location. This matters because it's the most reliable signal available, and because the app is built to fail closed: if your location can't be confirmed with confidence, you won't be able to enter paid contests until it can be.
Why we don't publish a static list
You'll notice this page doesn't name specific states. That's intentional: a printed list on a blog post goes stale the moment a law changes, and an out-of-date list is worse than no list at all. The app's in-device location check is always current — it's the only source that actually reflects today's rules, so it's the one you should trust.
What to expect if you're in a restricted state
If your state isn't currently eligible, you'll see that clearly when you try to sign up — Daily Gaming doesn't let you get partway into onboarding before finding out. You can still reach out through the in-app support link if you believe there's an error, or if you want to know when that might change for your state.
Traveling or using a VPN?
If you're normally in an eligible state but the app can't confirm your location, a VPN is the most common cause — location-based eligibility checks and VPNs are fundamentally incompatible, since a VPN's entire purpose is to obscure where you actually are. Turning it off usually resolves this immediately.
