Heads up: The download is 74 MB — worth being on Wi-Fi. Android will also show a security warning when installing apps from outside the Play Store. This is normal for sideloaded apps. The steps below walk you through it.

Installation steps

Download the APK on your Android phone using the button above. The file will land in your Downloads folder.
Open the file. Tap the downloaded .apk from your Downloads notification or from your Files app.
Allow installs from your browser. The first time you do this, Android will say "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source." Tap Settings, then enable Allow from this source, and tap back.
Tap Install on the install dialog. You may see a Play Protect prompt warning the app was not scanned by Play. Tap Install anyway.
Open Daily Gaming from your home screen or app drawer and sign in.

The Allow-from-this-source setting only needs to be enabled once per browser, and you can disable it again after installing if you prefer.

Updates

Most updates install themselves. From build 13 onward the app checks for a new version every time it starts, downloads it quietly in the background, and runs it the next time you open the app. Bug fixes, new games and interface changes all arrive this way, with nothing for you to do and no download to approve. Updates never interrupt a match in progress.

Bigger changes — anything touching the parts of the app Android installs rather than the parts we can send over the air — still need a fresh APK from this page. Those are rare. Bookmark this page, compare the build number on the button above against Settings → Apps → Daily Gaming, and install the new file over the top when it's ahead. Your account, your wallet and your match history all survive, and Android won't ask you to allow installs from this source a second time.

Do not uninstall the app to update it. Daily Gaming is non-custodial: the keys to your USDC live on your phone and nowhere else, and uninstalling erases them along with the app. Installing over the top is safe. If you ever do need to remove the app, write down your recovery phrase first — Wallet → Reveal recovery phrase — because without it, funds in that wallet cannot be recovered by us or by anyone.

Why isn't this on the Play Store?

Because Google Play doesn't allow apps like this one. Play's Real-Money Gambling, Games and Contests policy prohibits any app that lets people put up real money to win a prize of real-world monetary value, unless the developer holds a gambling licence in each state it operates in.

That rule covers games of skill too. It doesn't matter that Daily Gaming outcomes are decided entirely by how well you play, and it doesn't matter that federal law treats paid skill contests differently from gambling — Play's policy is its own, and it's stricter. There is no version of this app that both pays out real prizes and lives on the Play Store.

So Android gets the app directly from us. It's the same build that runs on iPhone, with the same escrow contracts and the same payouts — the only difference is where you get the file. We don't expect Play's policy to change, so we'd rather tell you that plainly than keep you waiting on a store listing that isn't coming.

Common questions

Is it safe?

The APK is signed by Daily Gaming LLC and served over HTTPS. If you want to verify the file you downloaded is byte-for-byte the one we published, its SHA-256 is e9f5c4d13c069be56a838108ea4f8b32535a936f5dc813812d1a9d4b459f21ab — on a Mac or Linux box, shasum -a 256 daily-gaming-1.0.0-build15.apk should print the same string. The Android "unknown sources" warning applies to any app installed outside the Play Store, including from well-known developers like Epic Games. You can verify the developer signature in your phone's Settings → Apps → Daily Gaming → Advanced → App details.

Why does it ask for my location?

Because real-money contests aren't legal in every state, and we're required to confirm you're somewhere they are before you can enter one. The app checks your location when you open it, using your device's location services — an IP address is too easy to spoof to rely on for this. We don't track you in the background, and we don't share or sell it. If you decline, the app can't verify where you are, so it won't let you play.

What Android versions are supported?

Android 7.0 (Nougat) and newer. The app works on phones and tablets in portrait mode.

What if Play Protect blocks the install?

Some devices show "Play Protect doesn't recognize this app's developer." Tap More details, then Install anyway. This is expected for sideloaded apps and does not indicate the app is unsafe.

Can I install on an Amazon Fire tablet?

Yes — Daily Gaming also runs on Fire OS via the same APK. Use Silk Browser to download and tap to install. You may need to enable "Apps from Unknown Sources" in Settings → Security & Privacy first.

I'd rather wait for the Play Store version.
